Using the parangolés created during the workshop, copies of documents from Hélio Oiticica’s archives, and photos & video footage gathered from the public performance, the exhibition will highlight many formal and conceptual facets of the parangolés: as aesthetic objects made for viewing to architectural structures meant to shelter to wearables with the potential to activate action and bring people together.
The exhibition allows the performance to continue and be widely available to the public. The public will be able to feel, wear, and experience the parangolés themselves.
